A buddy keeps telling me to tie some purple jigs. Heres what im calling a Purple Nurple. Never used this combo until today. Results were shocking! 75% of the fish were caught on this sucker! Of course I only had two purple nurples with me and I lost the first one right off the bat! I was using 5 poles and kept swapping the position of the purple in the rod holder but it kept catching. The only other color that caught more than a couple was salt n pepper. Ended up catching 10 that were 15+ inches. Not bad for 113 heat index!

Fish were inhaling the jigs. I wasnt wanting to keep/clean any fish but had several die so ended having to clean some after all.

Nice ties and fishing success RD.

If it wasn't for pictures, it's likely that I won't ever see a 15-inch crappie at the end of a line. Though crappie are abundant, a 15-incher is rarely caught from my local reservoir.

Very nice jigs and super fishing success! Can't beat that. I don't use purple either but have heard anything the color of grape Kool-Aid works well in Grand Lake in Oklahoma across the border. It is a murky lake at most times so probably would be a killer. Looks like you've found it!

Nice Ties!!!!!!! Pink and purple has always been a good color combo, just like chartreuse and blue!!

Man I can't wait till the Doc's give me the okay to play with tackle crafting again.

It's great that you got out and were rewarded for your work. With a heat index that high it's work. You caught more over 15 in a day than I catch here in a couple years or more. Maybe it's the pink head, that's the color head on both jigs.

I go through more pink powder than anything! I pretty much put a pink head on any combo. It works here for sure!

Same as I've been having luck with but with a blaZe orange head. Purple is my new chartreuse… til they stop biting at it anyways:D
I left the top off my pink in the garage. 115 here didn't treat it too well.
Awesome fish.
