Pond hopping 4/9/15

Hopped around in a couple of local small ponds today.went with the intention of trying out a couple of new patterns. First picture is the size crappie I usually catch here. Second picture is the surprise! Was a good couple hours abd the ties earned a spot in the box.

That's like my home lake. Chock-full of stunted Crappie, catch a hundred of them to scratch one decent slab.

nice - need to thin them out. Stunted crappie eat good too.... ice them up before you fillet.

Heck yeah. Bite size! We found a small lake around here that's like that, and absolutely hammered them late last summer. We call it the Judgement Free Zone.... I go there with the intent of trying to catch my 50 fish limit of crappie, no matter the size. I think here in a few years, it might help! Oh, and we had the whole place to ourselves every time!
