Pair of Odd-looking Jigs for Bass

Here's a pair of jigs that I tied quite some time ago for river bass. These have a "black neon" color scheme, more or less.



Materials:

• Googly craft eyes.
• Black chenille with silver glimmer.
• Bernat Disco yarns in black and burgundy.
• 1/4-ounce ball head with either a #1 or 1/0 hook.
• Black thread - any suitable thread will do as it's hidden.

I got on a tying kick, quite a while back, to try and emulate soft plastic tube jigs with chenille and eyelash yarns. I may revisit this style later this Spring.

Thank you. The two colors used are a yellow-orange hue called Mango and a yellow-green hue called Apple. The yarns are made by Caron.

So that is actually yarn and not chenille?

Both are #5 chenilles. Chenille is a yarn.
