Open Water

Love walking on hard water but always feels good to be able to get back out and cast from shore. Here is my FIRST soft water fish for the year that i caught last week. It was kind of photogenic, so it is now my desktop background. The jig is the same 1/24 head i was using through the ice a month ago.

Got a few crappie from the local dink factory on Friday evening. Lots of action, but the majority were crappie in the 8.5" range. I kept a few just to keep the population in check. Will be happy when these cookie cutters reach 10"! Either way, the pup was sure happy to get a few scraps and skins.

She is sure big now, close to 65 lbs and a little over 2 years old. But don't tell her..... thinks she is still a lap puppy and will lay on me in the recliner or flat on my chest in the bed sometime. She is always happy as heck to do it, but has no clue she is slowly suffocating me. haha!
