We have had some odd ball weather this winter..... Going from 50's to mid 30's has not let any ice form except for quick melting skims.  Sunday was a beautiful day with low 40 temps, no wind and lots of sunshine.  Decided to get out to my small hometown reservoir and give it a shot.  Tried using tiny jigs and waxworms at first and the small bluegill were ready and willing.  Lots of bites, no size.  I switched up another rod to a small pink homemade spoon (willow blade with added solder) about 3' below a bobber and started to catch some crappie.  Managed to put 8 in the bucket before it was time to head home for supper.  The 2 on the board are 13" and 11".  Not a bad start to 2019.

Yup, unseasonably warm weather here too but fishing sucks. With only one small canal pool having walleye potential its always heavy pressured and fished out. Skunked the last 5 trips. Also, the trout are oddly absent and one canal (secret) spot that consistently produced #s of 18-20" last year skunked yesterday too. Luck you have fish to catch AF.
