New Molds

Just got in a couple new molds. Do It came out with 4 new molds for 2014. I picked up a couple of them. Barlows has 3 of them on their site now. I got the minnow head with wire keeper and the swing football head. Both molds are very cool molds. THe minnow goes down to 1/48 oz which I was glad to see it smaller than 1/32! Mold is easily poured without the wire keepers so it will be good for those wanting to tie without cutting the collars off. In the pic is 1/48, 1/32, and 1/16.


Not much of a bass guy but I have plans for these SwingleBerry jigs!

Those swing heads sure have my interest. Not real sure about what they will do as far as tied dressing, but those will be crazy good with craw or work plastic trailers.

I like the looks of your keeper pours. The 'SwingleBerry' design is pretty cool too. Floating worms now come to my mind. :t-up:

RonDon- I got a quick question about the swingleberry jigs: Is the metal eye that runs through the lead 1 single piece or 2 separate pieces? I've always like the concept of this type of rig, I've just never taken the time to use one. No doubt in my mind they'll catch fish.

Attica- I'll bet you could use a straight shank style hook instead of a worm hook and tie some really cool looking articulated style jigs that should have a lot of movement. I'm thinking crawdads and goby types.

Got an email from jim zeiner saying he will have the molds in stock Monday. His a are a fuz cheaper than barlows.

Would you be able to fit a #4 sickle in the 1/32,1/16&1/8?

Adam that's a 4 in the 1/32 I poured with red hook. May be a problem getting it into the 1/8 on this one but 1/16 should be fine. I will check tonight. I think this would be a great mold to have those that tie and and use plastic also.

If you check back Ron, your custom minnow mold- you can't pour the 1/32 w/ a #4, right?

That mold of yours is getting pretty old by now… I'd be willing to take it off your hands bf it loses any more value and starts to infect your other molds.

I never thought about using the keeper mold without the keeper. I recently got the minnow head mold and filled in the barb with silicon. I like the smaller sizes. Poured about 400 last night in 1/48-3/16.

L.P., I'm sorry but I've already told Ronny that I would gladly take that mold off his hands, ONLY because I was concerned with the health & well being of his entire mold inventory. In fact, in my benevolence I even offered to quarantine Ronny's Fish Head mold as it's probably in the same situation as his Minnow mold.

Definitely be getting those two molds. Really like the football mold, I've been buying heads like this for about a buck each and they work great with the Reaction Innovations Smallie Beaver baits and Flirt worms. The minnow head will be a winner as well. Thanks for the information.

They also came out with a shad head with wire keeper. I kick my butt for not getting it when I bought these. Now I'll pay shipping again. It takes a 30 degree hook and but think 3/0 is smallest size.
