Hey guys.. Been tying crappie jigs for the last year or so. Ran acroos this site thanks to pepop! Mainly for info and reference material but will probably be posting a few jig pics etc asking for improvement ideas. Strictly a hobby right now as well as I am getting into building a few rods for myself and my wife. Current rod I am building is an extremely sensitive MHX 8' blank for perch jerking!!! Anyway I am looking forward to learning new tricks and seeing everyone's handy work.

Jig Man - I started my first pole last time I was on days off.. It is teadious work to say the least and is challanging. The reason I got into building a few is due to my wife. She was wanting a custom rod since they dont make too many all girlied up for perch jerkin. I started researching different rod builders and figuring out the process. Next thing you know I spent a bunch of money on all the junki to do it with. HAHA I thought the ol lady was gonna croak.. she insisted I build a couple for myself first to work out the kinks. So in the works right now is an 8 footer for tight lining. And I am also building me a dock shooter. Thinking bout putting some kinda buggy whip logo on it. I should get atleast one of them knocked out this next trip in at the house... If I can stay off the water long enough. The last 6 months or so I have slacked off on jig tying and have been just tying up basic patterns. I need to get my work station organized. I have way too many hobbies... After visiting and joining this forum it has sparked a new fire for jig tying and painting. Hopefully I can run off a few for show and tell.

I sometimes fall into a groove when unloading and forget to take pics... Unless the kids are there to remind me. Last fish in the box on a fishing trip a couple weeks ago. I tried to get her to hold it but she saw all that slime on that sucker when I pulled him out the ice chest HAHA Cedar Creek crappie

Those two right there are a handful!!! Fun and full of energy. When he goes fishing he will fish for roughly 5 minutes then he is done... LOL when I get into a few he says catch another one. Im tell him boy you better get up here and catch a fish. He then proceeds to tell me how he wants to see me catch them. HAHA maybe in another year or so he will start putting them babies on the deck. I know there have been several times where if he had a hook in the water he would have had his hands full. The day after this pic he got his first sac a lait and was stoked for the same 5 minutes LOL. Some things take time I guess... Now his older bro will bout knock you off the front deck trying to get to the good spots... :D
