i noticed a new material at michaels , its spikeez silicone cord. its round and 1.5 mm thick. you get 10yards for under 2bucks with tax. i tied a craw jig using this as the side legs instead of normal silicone spinnerbait skirt legs. i like it. it also may work on smaller flies and crappie jigs as a stinger type tail . comes in all the good colors to like white, yellow, blue black purple and chart . rich mc

it gets even better they sell tubes of silicone that when added to the end of the silicone rope makes a nice ball. i see a boot type tail in the near future. it also holds very well. the one i made yesterday and allowed to dry overnight did not pull off despite pulling the rope twice its length. for those that have used the cubby mini mite tails this is very close. rich mc
