The head on the right is a modified stand up head with the extra eye for tieing in a stinger hook, and believe it or not that other head looks like an old style walking sinker modified to a jig head!!!!

Cj - try spinning a hackle feather around the hook shank - then brush back the hackle - and tye off. I do that with tube jigs - check out the tutorials.

Good looking tye - bet it will stick em. You going to put blades on them?

LH , no blades , stinger hook for those short biting crappie with teeth .FM , just so happens I got some Peacock Herl today , plus a boat load of other stuff . Will try the hackle wrap as well , got some of that today as well . Not sure how to use the Peacock hurl .

Had these since the early 90's , Used to just rig them with a stinger with a crawler or leech . They were hard on Walleye !

Woke up in the middle of the night for this ,ya , the jigs come from Northland Tackle out of Bemidji , Minnesota .

Oops, sorry about the double post - thought I was editing the original.

Haven't bought jig heads since I started pouring, but I do remember Northland had some creative ideas. I never actually used any Northland heads because the designs I liked couldn't hold soft plastics which were my go-to until JiggerJohn taught me how effective ties and props were.

When the Lindners sold out the company Ron said he wished he had a nickle for every one of those walking sinkers sold. The new Anglers Edge program is pretty good but it's on off an on with my cable system. In-fish just hasn't been the same without them.
