Here are the types of sinkers I have made when I melt lead. I have made bank sinkers, egg, and worm sinkers. This adds up to about 25 lbs of sinkers.

nice pours. I can see that you are getting better. The last picture the sinkers look interesting. What weight are they look like a river type sinker.

The worms are 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, and 5/8 oz. They are from a Do-It worm rig sinker mold, product no. WR-9-A or model no. 3222.

Nice pours.

Have you found any magic for coating the pull pin easily? I tried mold release but rubs right off with 3-4 pours. I have heard about wax or oil, but haven't tried it.

Try "Draggin" your pin across a Bar of Soap ... Had a coustomer that poured tons of sinkers and that is what he used.

Never poured sliders, but am thinking about it - Do you have to rinse out the soap from the sinker holes?

When I started pouring I learned the hard way that soft lead is harder to get out my way and is best saved for jig heads.

Hawn - I never worried about it, basically all I ever did was rub the pins on the top of the soap, any left wore right off, never had a problem with it.

I coat my pull pin in some used lawnmower engine oil. Works great, but need to be re-oiled after 5-6 pours. I also tried spraying the pin with wd-40 and it works great also. You can also try sooting the pin with a candle and then also coating in thick oil. Basically anything that is oil and thick will work for a pull pin. You also need to oil the hinge because if you don't, the mold will feel like it is stuck and will be hard to open, especially when it is hot. You can use any oil as mentioned for that too.

Just got done melting some lead into some worm sinkers. I made about 2 more lbs of sinkers. I will take pics of the extra sinkers I made today.

Just stockpile 'em to see how lead adds up in weight. Saving them so I can put 'em in a container and slip it in someone bag and they fall to the ground because of the heavy bag they are carrying or the bag just breaks because of the weight. Really though, I am saving them so I can sell them one day or something....

I have made, yet again, more sinkers the other day, here they are. I had the scale out to weigh them. It is too much for that scale. I think the total weight is about 12.5 pounds of worm sinkers. The sinkers in the photo being weighed are about 2 1/4 pounds if you subtract the weight of the container.

I have made 1.5lbs of egg sinkers today. Was going to make more, but it started to rain. My egg sinkers still have wrinkles, but gotten used to that as it won't matter as some sinkers may be lost in the water.
