You get to looking at some of the old equipment and lures and wonder how they managed to catch anything. Then you look at all the modern stuff out there today that is designed to catch more fisherman than fish and you realize that simple is just as good if not better in most cases.
Good collection ... I think I am still older than most of it (Reels & Rods ?? The rod handles on some look like the late 40's -- Action Rod. True Temper, South Bend & etc.) The Mitchel 300 was #1 for many years .. got a worn out one in my old reel box.
I have some of the same lures - passed on to me from a great aunt who had an antique store in PA. Love the Virginia Wildlife prints also. Might cost a small fortune, would sure look sharp all framed and matted. The artist has some beautiful work, but the crappie print looks like they are cross bred with rockbass.
