My first try at the GFA Popper

Forgot a red indicator but....

Size 8 mustard r73np bronze hook, yellow foam, green chartreuse and flashabou accent silver wing, brown round rubber legs and thread.

What do I need to improve on?

Colors close to early hoppers here in Mo. Just brighter with the chartreuse.

Looking good. Wet them and let the fish say what they think about them. I think they will like them just fine.

Well, I always knot my rear legs. Just a simple overhand knot. Makes it look more realistic. Otherwise, that's pretty much a dead-ringer for many of my early GFA Hoppers. I've since shortened my wings to be equal with body length. I don't mess with a indicator patch on top of the bug for a size 8. Now, the size 14's that I tie, yes, I do put an indicator on those.

I also agree with Stumphunter. Go get them wet! The fish will approve!
