Back in the old days we only had 5 or so colors to chose from the old hardware store ...My favorite back then was the white /yellow combo,,,put lots of fish in the basket,so I put a handfull of the original version together tonight..

Another neglected combo on my part was the black/pink...Few years ago you wouldnt see me on the water without it on one of my rods....I promise it will see some action in 2012..........

Rad with all the different color chenilles and custom paint jobs it's not hard to leave old color combo's behind, but I guess they'll forgive you LOL

Bona fide fish catchers... For some reason, the yellow and white does have a "throwback" look to it. Black and pink is a staple in my box!

Out here...
White, yellow, and black were my colors. Worked well over the years. Believe it or not my bride used to get up at 4 am and have breakfast ready for us when Tom would drive in from Midland to go fishing. The other day I showed her what we used to fish with and what is available to tyers now. She was amazed at the difference in the materials and colors, but stated we did pretty good back then.... I sure miss ole Jigman he was one of a kind!!!

Theyre all great but I'll take the black n pank! That'n will smash some quick around here. Pink is under utilized around in my opinion. Well...at least around here. Pink marabou was one of the materials I actually bought a lot of and I'm finding I'mma need more soon. Separate it with some black, green or blue for contrast and BAM.
Not sure I can ever duplicate that paint but it looks awesome.
Great jigs.
