Took my father-in-law out saturday evening to try to find some fishes. Luckily we did cause he is a dedicated worm/sinker fisherman and i think i made a big step in convincing him that the artifical stuff does work, at first anyways. Not all were caught on jigs, as i was swimming jigs just at dusk, i set him up with a minnow on a lighted bobber and he started slamming the crappie. After watching him catch 6 fish to my 1, i put on a minnie as well. :shy: Here's the result...

All 5 gills were caught before dark on a teeny LedHed jighead that i tied peacock herl for legs and tail, no meat added. I would guess (didn't keep exact #'s) that i caught 8 of the 20 crappie we brought home on one of my custom swimmer heads in white rabbit/chart bucktail. Fun - but late!!! - night, finally got to bed around 3:00 after cleaning all the fish myself. I'm happy to finally have a good pile of fish in the fridge!!!
