I had to do this jig as the new back of feathers had this one that was all by itself and all I had made up was small trout size minnow heads so this is what I made. This jig is a 1/48oz minnow head painted white, the tail is black craft fur on the top and white craft fur on the bottom along with some gold flash and red hackle fibers for accent. The body was done with arctic ice chenille and then finished off the this soft brown and white feather. The tip of the feather was a cream color that went gradually to the brown color you see but the pic does make it look darker than it really is. The surprising thing is that the brown and cream color of the feather seems to blend well with the rest of the jig, at least it seems that way to me but that is it, I hopw to try this on some trout in late February depending on the weather.
