mini Ultras

Well.... I did up a batch of Ronny's 1/10 oz Ultras..... these things are really cool!!! All I have left to do is put a little clear polish over the eyes and tie them up.

Need to do some in pink and chartreuse as well... I can see a whole box of these little suckers before long!!!
Even went down to the galley and borrowed the oven for 30 minutes to cure them up..

Those heads would look good using nail polish, I bet. You wouldn't loose the detail in the gill plates and scale pattern.

What color are you painting as a base color? I've got all those colors but the ruby slipper - and that one looks mighty fine. WM Pepper and Copperhead i use more than any others. Of all of them, the rootbeer i just don't really care for the color......... it seems like a really muted color and just not appealing to my eye.

I bet your tying/painting box is bigger than your clothes luggage when you make the trip back and forth to home.

I have been using a Pearl base for all of them..... and I had to go buy a big Nike bag to tote all my stuff around with me!! I have been lucky that the boat has been at the dock for the last couple of oncoming crew changes. If I would of had to fly out on a chopper...... I don't think I would have been able to bring it all!! lol

Very sweet painting. All look great Are you combining a lil more clear to em? Maybe iTs just the pearl base but they look thin. In a great way.
I never base coat w anything other than chrome. Will give it a try tomorrow.
I'll feel sorry for the cook w/ you running the show!

I have not been adding any clear to my accent... Have been clear coating after.... I will be experimenting with thinning it out soon though
