Micro Jig Hooks

Hey guys,

Checking in from Canada seeking feedback on a planned on-line purchase of a bunch of 1/100 oz. unpainted micro jigs from Dewart Lake Tackle. They have Eagle Claw and VMC hooks. Are the VMC's the better choice.

I like the VMC hooks over the ECs

If I don't use the sickles I would use the VCM hooks also. Better quality in my opinion.

I do like the sickle hooks best myself.

Just tried to check out Crazy Angler and they are shut down until Saturday for maintenance. On the Google page where I found them there was mention of Matzuo. They make sickle hooks don't they?

If the Eagle Claws are old stock they'd be just as good as the VMC's, but you'd have to find that out from the company.

#8's on sickle hooks would be good. Dewart Lake only does Eagle Clkaw and VMC. Going for smallmouth on one of the rivers up here on Saturday so I'll check out Crazy Angler on Sunday after church. Thanks for the tip.

I catch a lot of fish on my flyrod with micro jigs so hair feathers and yarn for trout, crappie ,bluegill, perch etc. Even bass pike and walleye will take a small jig. I get them deep on a fast sinking full sink line. I also suspend them under an indicator with a floating line.
