I'm saying maybe minnows because I like these but not sure if the dubbing bodies on the minnows makes sense. These are going to be tried for trout, they are all 1/48oz jigs the bottom jig has a chartreuse head with a chartreuse bucktail with green and gold flash as the tail and a chartreuse Seal-X dubbing body. The middle jig has a watermilon red flake head, red bucktail, olive green fish hair, and green flash make up the tail and dark olive Seal-X dubbing was used for the body. The top jig has a black head with purple grizzly soft hackle and blue flash for the tail and purple Seal-X dubbing for the body. I like the dubbing for the jigs that are going to dragged, hopped, or retrieved close to the bottom as it has a buggy look to it. My thought on using it for the minnow heads is the Seal-X dubbing has a reflective quality to it and it throws off sparkles when the light hits it at different angles. I figured that this would be looking possibly like a wounded minnow losing scales as it was swimming prompting a fish to bite. So with that trail of thought I used the dubbing and then brushed it out a little and trimmed it so it would have a taper but be more in line with a minnow body while still having fibers sticking out to give the scale appearance, hopefully the fish will like it.
