These are a couple of my steelhead ties. They are on 1/32 and fished under floats. I know it is the wrong time of year for them, but it is never too early to wish for a break in the heat and some fall fishing!

Head- 1/32 non toxic, carefully powered coated
Thread- monofil
Body- colored marabou, mixed flash, white marabou belly

They'll work for sure.Great color combos.What hooks are you using?You'll get some big bluegills to hit both of them jigs in Yuma when you get there.Try all black also.A little bit shorter on the tail or they will just rip your feathers off.

Nice ties I have been working on some kip tail jigs the same style. With working on cleaning the shop and tying fall jigs and canning garden produce. Things are jumping at our house. Not getting a lot of jigs out but at lease a few in the jig boxes.

Hooks are 2x mustad. Don't remember the exact model number, but they are good for steelhead.

The gills I meant.
