Water temps are getting close to 50 here but a cold front next week will put the fish in a state of lock jaw so I figured I'd tie a few of these to see if we can't coax a bite should that scenario take place. This is a 1/16oz dark watermelon ball jig with a #2 sickle hook, I tied in 2 small marabou plumes, one black and one olive brown, hackle style and finished it off with a furnace hackle collar. These work fine by themselves but I will also use a 2" piece of a soft plastic trout worm as a trailer, I tend to do that when I start getting bit by a lot of bluegill, they will try to hit the worm instead and a lot of times this is when bass will get interested in the jig, very versatile pattern.

I like this pattern alot. The hackle style is a neat touch.
