Starting to pick up. Talked to my buddy Jim on Sunday and he told me I should be looking into the back side about now. He was right.

Bass fishing on this lake is a big joke. You can literally watch the bass guys play musical chairs on bass beds. You would think that you would want your prized fish left alone to expand on the genetics during the spawn. Instead of pissing them off so bad they bite a lure on the bed - get jerked off of it for a photo - then released to protect it. What kind of logic is that? How many of theses CPR bass guys fish barbless? Rhetorical, zero to none. And I don't even like green carp...

Man What a Bream, I showed it to a buddy at work while he was making the coffee. He lost count of how many scoops he had put in.

Great fishing LedHed. Nice catches and photos. :cool:

I share your opinion on bed fishing bass in balanced lakes. It's a personal choice of mine to leave active bass beds alone when sighted.

Pup - just venting. The bass in the bottom pic had two gapping holes in his mouth - don't think this bass will be making it through the season. He is trying to eat and regain his strength - doesn't appear to be old enough to be in the condition it's in. Dumb enough to hit anything at this point - sapping even more of his energy...
A couple more "no fishing" zones would be nice - especially during the spawn.
Unfortunately Pup there aren't enough fishers with scruples like yours. In the bass fishing world, out here, it's all about the bass fisher - screw everybody and everything else.

You watch fishing shows on television and see the pros fishing for bass on their beds, catching them and put them in the livewell for the weigh in. These are the same guys that are adored in their sport and since they do it everyone else thinks it's ok. Put that poor bass out of it's misery and fillet it. That would sure piss of the bass guys. That female gill is a fatty. Reminds me of some of those Skinner gills.
