Good to see you back posting your catch. Was starting to think you fell out of the boat and one of those monsters swallowed you whole.

Looks like you found a few. Last one looks nice and lump thump headed. Cool looking blue-eyed (duck?) jig as well. Need a close up of that beauty.

Here i thought you were out holding signs for the Cali cargo strike. Back to work........... we need our stuff. :p

Thnx everybody. Between weather and medical it's been a nightmare. Same for my fishing partner Big Jim. Now he's retired - tryin to get him out to Lake Havasu.
The chub (1/32nd)pattern I'm using is poured with the Eagle Claw Lil Nasty #6. Using 3mm blue eyes and duck flank feathers. Offered this one in a swap not too long ago. Powder painted with custom pearl white, custom black diamond, overcoated with CCs emerald illusion. Pleasantly surprised on how well it's been doing, considering it was a "theory" jig.....

Some chunks, they have sure been eating well. Great to hear that Big Jim retired. Time to get serious about a 3lber now. Definitely need to get him out to Havasu soon. Any reports on the fishing there?

Havasu should be starting right now for the REs Jim. World Record was caught last year on 2/16.

Nice! Wife and I are contemplating hitting the water Sunday. How's the depth? Bout the same as it has been, or is the water even lower?

She also tried tying up some micro-autos... like 64th size. We will see how those work on cold gills.

Nice catch. The fishing was starting to get good here and then the snow, sleet, freezing rain and now cold. Makes me warm seeing your pics :)

rm - Thnx, lots of grebes!! South west side in 35-55 FOW. Only 8' in the Marina. Some nice crappie are coming out of there right now. Surface temp was 60F.

You might want to fish the 1/64ths in tandem for the deeper water.

Thnx Pup & Ronnie
