I have been pretty busy with the whole saltwater stuff.Must have read more about the ways of a striper then I have in the past few years about fish.They say to tie a fly about 20" up from a bigger jig so it looks like the jig is chasing the smaller baitfish.Might work well for freshwater fish also.They say that no matter what the fish is looking for,Big or small baitfish you have it covered.I've been practising my "Drop Loop" tying lately.Here's a big 2 1/2 oz. shad like thing chasing a Sand Eel.

We used to use deep diving crank baits and tie a two oz. jig as a trailer and troll for stripers. Caught a bunch that way.
