I finally got around to try my hand at tying some 1/16 crappie jigs and learned a few lessons in short order.
Neck hackle is not the same as saltwater hackle. The blood red is neck hackle.
Cut and stack Vs and tips. Tie in all at once.
Tie in flash before hackle. Much easier and looks better. The grn. ylo, org. are tied that way.
Some chenille is way more forgiving. I will be using #3 & #5 newage & med. cactus until I perfect my technique.
Don't add head cement until the jig is inspected. I deconstruct a bunch.
