Awesome jigs everyone! Jay they arrived safe and sound in KY today. Thank you for hosting. I like that 1/2 oz Barumba, do you pour those? I'll be sure to have all of these jigs in the box for Quetico next year. Might even toss'em in the Cumberland river next week, there's some nice waldos there also. If I'm lucky enough to go and then even luckier to hook one I'll post a pic.
Thanks everyone, outstanding job.

Thanks for the kind words. The Barumba head was designed by my father John T Wirth in the late 60s. He had molds made in only three sizes 1/4, 1/2, and 5/8. It is a very popular jig here in central NY state. We produce many different jig head styles and sizes. I have carried on the tradition and tie for many dealers.

Got mine yesterday as well. Some killer ties and great pattern ideas to play with.

Jay - Got to ask...... do you use the stingers on the majority of your jigs? You have the length down perfect on them and your snells look darn near perfect. Thanks for hosting as well!

Ha! Thats from 32 years of practice ;-) I have a lot of customers who ask for the snell hook, most stores I sell to will add a card or two a year but usually take the cheaper styles (no sting, no flash). For my personal box I always add stinger & flash. I may have some time over the weekend and will try to get some pictures posted on how I do the stinger hooks.

I must admit that I forgot about the jig swap until the last day. I hustled and felt like the old days that I had to bust my hump to get them all out on time and got back into the swing of commercial tying with in the first 20 minutes. Like riding a bicycle once you learn it don't take long to get back on and ride. Fun and will do it again in a swap or two. In the mean time I will just keep getting ready for fall crappie season.
