Great read. Inspires me to tie more of his style of jigs. They all exhibit very interesting patterns and colors with their collections of feathers, hair, and other materials.

There are gazillions of unpublicised local experts with their personal tackle adaptations. What they have in common is practiced location and presentation skills, and successful anglers can make almost anything work at the right time & place.

I thought my jigs were well tuned for our local trout lake, and was outfishing my bud Jon at least 3-1 on best available mostly dink trout last week. But, being well practiced and confident with a Kasty, he stuck with it and eventually got the biggest football I've ever seen at 8-3/4#.

That said, hats off to Mr. Crawford for inspiring so many with his creations.

Like the looks of the chart and can figure some of them out - but don't want to have to register to get a really clear look at it.
