Is my ideal jighead out there?

This is my dream head (well one of a few):
Chrome plated minnow head, fair bit of detail in the head shape _ maybe a bit of gill arch, a slight "brow" around the indent for stick on epoxy eyes (and the indent should be a bit oversize, I like oversized eyes), NOT shaped at the back of the head to take plastics, and a shortish collar. Jig would be on those Mustad ultrapoint black nickel hooks with the widish gape and shortish shank.
Sizes 1/32nd (size 8 and 6 hooks), 1/16th (size 6 and 4 hooks), 1/8th (size 4, 2 and 1). Seeing as I'm fantasizing, I want em in both 90 degree and 60 degree
I really wish I could find chrome headed minnow heads (gold would be awesome too). Some semi-backyard makers here do chrome covered lead "slugs" _ simple high speed casting metals _ so it ain't impossiblly impractical, right????
Been thinking how, apart from just dressing them with some of the wild epoxy eyes around now, how good various shades of clear glitter and opaque nail polish would look over the chrome.

Do-It has a new Teardrop shape head. http://do-itmolds.com/shop/index.php?route=product/category&path=1_7_226 May have a shape you want but the size does not go as small as you want. I think there is a chub head that goes down smaller and also has the recessed eyes.......... maybe?

Good luck finding any smaller sized hooks in 60* eye forward design. From everywhere i have searched, it is pretty much a custom bending process for the hooks and then you might have to modify a mold to get them to fit.

Grousefly is a member here. You can PM him and i think someone has given his regular email address in the past.

I would also suggest to go into your User CP (at top of the page next to the 'Welcome back' message) and set your account so you can recieve PM's..... the email system for the forum DOES NOT work correctly.

This guy can make exactly the mold(s) you want if you can provide the hooks. But, his service is notoriously inconsistent - I waited 2 years for my molds while other have reported getting theirs in 2 weeks...paid in advance the wait was punishing.

The best Ozzie heads are obviously custom - maybe their molds are made in-country?

I notice that Oz jig makers have apparently contracted their own custom 60* hooks so maybe they could sell you some? Most upgrade quality hooks are NOT bendable 90* to 60*, tho there are a few exceptions.

Tin metal is relatively EZ to pour and has a durable attractive shine. There is a minority school of thought that shiny tin heads often work as well as painted heads with eyes.

As always thanks for the info. Really good advice. Some avenues to explore. And yep sort of chub head-ish. Hope I've activated PM capability!

Still find it interesting that no or very, very few, available plated heads in anything but round. And those rounds are all very small heads, many small enough to fly cast.
Yet there's lots of quite nicely painted and patterned commercial minnow style heads out there now. Would cost and time of making a plated head be less or more than for one of the minnow jig heads painted in several colours with stripes, scale or spots, electric chook patterns etc? Probably being a bit saltwater-centric here but anyway....
