I fished for three hours this morning on my local reservoir until the wind got to strong. I kept 19. Some of the females had already laid their eggs.
Orange was the hot color.

Thanks, the males weren't that dark when I caught them. Mainly just their fins were black. After a couple of hours in the dark livewell, they darkened up.

Get a copy of the Strictly Fish Cookbook by Charlie Winkleman (Babe's wife that passed away), that lady could do some cooking!!!!! My wife and I have tried many of the recipes in there - I pass on the one's where you pour a sauce over them but still alot of good ones in there.
