Any ideas what to do with this for trout?  I bought this mold for the tubes but thought tying something like this might be something the trout might like around here in KY.

Mink dubbing tail with hackle at the hook eye.  Really simple tie if the fish like it?

That looks good.

I catch most of my trout on crappie tube jigs 1 1/2 long in browns, dark greens, and reds. That should tear them up. I wouldn't be hard at all to put a couple of claws on the back and make a good looking craw imitation.

That looks good Q!!! For some of my small ponds and streams that would be way to big BUT! down your way it's probably just right.

That's a nice crawdad color match.

Put a little inline spinner blade on that if you got a bender / former . Mess a pan fish up like that.

As long as the hackle doesn't interfere with blade spin - hardware setup, ties, colors, look as good as it gets.

Your bender does an outstanding job - are smaller loop ends possible?

Won't the top bead add unnecessary spin friction?

Unfortunately my Twist Tec bender does not bend a smaller loop.  I love the bender and use it all the time but that is it's biggest down fall.  I may have to add a bead or 2 to the back side of the blade to keep it out of the hackle or possibly trim the hackle.  I've always put a bead in the front of most of my in lines.  I like the look.  Haven't noticed any issues as of yet.  Though since you mentioned it I'll most defiantly will take some of both when I go hunting trout next month.
I been making these to test also.

Worm Nose molds.  I like the compactness of the lure.  fat and shorter.

If you put a straight wire in a spinner bait mold you can pull the wire . Then use the head .

Playing and adding to this jig.

I had a few slight issue with the hook eye being to tight and hanging on the wire.  I think the swivel will solve the issue.

70 degree day yesterday man ole man I should have been on the Dix River.  Soon, VERY SOON.

Sort of a twist on a rooster tail lure. Should work well because they do and yours should have more action.
