I did something a little different with this jig, normally when I palmer marabou I'll wrap thread down to where the feather was finished and it is where I start my chenille but on this jig when I got the fullness I wanted from the feather I held the remaining feather tight and palmered it forward tying it in on the collar. I then left that part of it exposed as I started the chenille up higher, I did this thinking it would sort of look like the thorax area on an insect but I'm not sure so I would appreciate your opinion. The top pic shows what I did and the bottom is just a profile pic.
