Yeah, I bought a pack of mixed needles at Wally World and don't know what it's called but it's not a regular sewing needle. There is a trick you can do with a regular needle though. Tie a piece of thread to a regular needle and have the other end in a tied loop. Put the leg threw the loop and pull it into the body.

those little bug body guys ought to do the trick they definitely look okay to me. Have you tried to put marabou and in them yet.
