My next trip out I'm gonna try pushing some Ala. rigs with horse heads. For those who haven't heard of pushing crankbaits, you have a weight, I use a 3 oz, up the line from your bait about 3 or 4 ft. You have the pole pointing forward out of your boat and the weight pulls the bait down to your desired depth. You push it while you are pulling bait behind your boat. Anyway, Hunter7711 sent me some 3-arm rigs and I tied up some horse heads this morning. Recon it will work?

I've tried pulling the Ala. rigs behind the boat and they are just too heavy. Pushing them with the weight though, I'll be able to control the depth. We'll see, I'm always trying new things. Lol

Scott nice horseheads!!!!!!!!! nice mix of colors BUT looking at the pics you need to clear some of the paint between the head of the jig and top of the swivel so you have full swivel action for the blades to turn really well. I always try and do it before I tie them up so I don't knick any of the materials.

Hope to hear you got the rig to work while pushing them. I can't see the pics but I'm sure they are nice as all your tye's are. Good luck Scott.

A rig like that will work without the weighted head for shallow water . Waiting to see what goes down or comes up .
