Heterogenius Nymphs, tied on size 12 scud hooks. Basically a PT Nymph, with a bright orange hotspot. The Bluegill do approve

Excellent. Dunno much about that sort of tying but I do know those'll catch gills here.

One thing I can say about this pattern: At least for me, the PT fibers don't hold up well to Bluegill teeth, even with wire counterwraps. However, since it's tied with orange thread, as the PT fibers break, it exposes more of the thread underbody, and if anything, makes it even more desirable to the 'gills.
