Help me out - Hitch knot

Finally got a YouTube video up, working on some simple tutorial stuff...

The first finishing knot i learned was what i called a half hitch knot, but i am not posotive of the actual name... is it a Hitch, Half Hitch or Quarter Hitch.... I have found conflicting info on searching the net. Any help appreciated. Let me know what you think of it also.

Also plan to make up a diagram or still pics for those with slower net connections.

I believe it's half hitch, and I still prefer that to a whip finish with my jigs.
