Every bone I've gotten in HI was indeed a blast! Sand scooting jigs like the Shawn should work fine - I prefer heavy wire small hook upright. Shallow water is the best venue to appreciate the sight & sound of their surface ripping runs, deeper they tend to dog.

A lot of you mainlanders could road trip to the Keys. If you need a plane hop, just give the kids a choice between college fund or Margaritaville, bet I know the answer.

Thanks Scott, my best mate's the same, it's murder for him when the garlic prawns are on the barbie and he's gotta refuse. Hey Salty these heads have no collar! And they have a weed guard hole I try to fill in, not always succesfully. Gotta use what I can here.
Hawn I was gonna ask if you'd fished Hawaiian bonefish. A place with surf and bonefish sounds rather attractive!! I've read the bonefish runs are wild on ultrathin braid, faster than when hooked on fly.
