I am very interested in the whole Jig Fishing thing. I fish mainly soft plastics and crankbaits on rivers, canals and stillwaters over here. I'm intent on learning to tie some jigs and getting them wet soon.
I used to fish mostly soft plastics, until JiggerJohn taught me to properly tie jigs. Since then I've fished ties nearly 100% of my water time, only resorting to cranks in extreme weed fouling conditions.
Watched a few vid clips about fishing in England, plus the Ethan Hawke movie "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" and get the impression there is very little public inland water to fish out your way?
If you think of panfish as specimen roach, chub or rudd, I´m sure that there´s a lot in it for you. I found so much inspiration, help and support here -no matter how ridiculous my ideas sounded - that I went to business with myself and opened a shop. :icon14:
Will be good to have someone to talk to about european species
