Dad had this made special in 1975. This wasn't just to be pretty, he fished with this gear about 30 years. This box is hand made including the brass inlays (other hardware is common). The lid has space for four rods though only two of the custom made rods are present (two have been lost to time). The four cardinal 3 reels & 6 spools are original. The center has three removable trays - Ill probably add to them jigs tied by dad from his tackle box.

How cool is this box? Are those special inserts that slip through those green 'tubes' and adjust to hold the rod butt sections in place by their ferrules? Nice!

I like it a lot. The box is a great compliment to your vintage rods and reels. :icon14: :icon14:

Pup, yes they are spring loaded. I thought they were pretty nifty myself. The reel handles and extra spools also have brass rods that swing around to hold them in place.
