I love being creative and love putting jigs and flies together. I had a one of my customers come in the tackle store one time and told me, "Sis, Let me tell you something....90% of all tackle catches the fishermen and 10% catches the fish!" When think about it, it's true, but boy it is fun to create something different and new.

Might be true for commercial products - don't think it applies to custom work. Should've told him that your making the 10% that catch fish.

One good thing about tying your own is that you get to field test your tyes. My jigs not only catch the fisher but catch the fish - better than any store bought.
