I've been pouring and painting my own jigs as a hobby for over 10 years. I've been looking for a site like this and finally stumbled into jigcraft. I've been poking around the site and see where folks have shared information and posted pictures of some fantastic tying and painting. Hopefully, I'll figure how to post pictures and share some of my work.

My focus is strictly saltwater jig tying and I chase fish with my own jigs from Virginia to Florida.

I could use some tips on painting and will be following those threads closely. I would also be interested in any get togethers/shows/info and idea exchanges within strikind distance of Chesapeake, VA. Again, I do this as a hobby....my motivation for doing this is not profit driven. Just looking ideas, techniques and general info.

Tight lines!

Welcome aboard Jorge !!!

Some great info here and a few hardwater guy's with some talent as well..Most of us are like you ,we tie for ourselves and those close to us as a hobby, but from what I've seen, are better than just about anything out there commercially.....

As Heath mentioned, photobucket seems to be the easiest method for most, but jigcraft does enable you to "attach" a photo directly from your PC...Let us know if you need any help.

Hope to see some of your work !

Howdo from a loong way off. My saltwater ties top out at a wimpy 3/8 oz. Not much fish left accessible from Hawaiian shoreline.

"BLT" and "Salty Buckster" appear to be hardcore salties up around your area. "JiggerJohn" occasionally ventures out to the VA coast. Loooong way off "Bombora" might be hibernating the down under winter.

Welcome from Northern Virginia.

Hardcore fresh water guy here, only because there's so much of it in my back yard. Do chase croker on the Northern Neck when the opportunity presents itself.
