I stumbled across that on ohio fly tying site also. Since I did not have any bohemian chenille I tried using ultra chenille and came up with a small black leech. Will post pix of my " leechey " creation. Right now enjoying my morning coffee and nothing gets done until 3rd cup is down the hatch.
I do believe the unusual use of the chenille opens up a new jar of possibilities. After tying my " leechey " I experimented with a couple styles of " minner " imitations. THey turned out not so hot but I did order some of that bohemian stuff to play with. I plan on tying both weighted and unweighted versions to play with. Would think they would produce on crappie if tied in the 2-2 1/2
overall lengh range.
Len - That ther Ron Don guy he shore do make some useful stuff don't he ? By the way love the way your jig turned out .
