Fatman said:Heath - buddy we warned ya it would freak you out LOL. I've found myself using my gate shears less and less. I just use a pair of needle nose to hold the top of the sprue and bend it back and forth, then I use an old Barlow knife and scrape over the area where the sprue came off.
Use needle nose and twist those little edges off the bottom of the head.
You'll find with a little practice you'll be spending ALOT of time trimming sprues off LOL, they'll be rolling out the mold.

LedHed said:You can always get the PRO series mold.... I am also guilty of having needlenose & flush cutters at my pour station. Flush cutters are for some of my custom molds.
Rocking back and forth while twisting should give you a fairly clean break.
