Got to fish Diamond Valley finally, for the first time. New fishing friend James showed me around the lake, searching for some Bluegill water. Very different from LP! No panfish for me - couple of bass.

James got a really nice Redear - his first at DVL;

Also got a really nice female Bluegill;

Sweet! Got to love fishing new water.

Beautiful backdrop on that 2nd pic. Does the lake bottom drop off as fast as the mountain rises up in the 1st pic? Got to be a DEEP lake.

Yeah Russ the sides drop like crazy - not like LP. Need some more time on the lake with my boat. DVL is a lot bigger than Lp and has more flooded structure. I stuck it out with jigs and JJ switched over to a drop shot rig. Bass were hitting the Bellyspinners also.
