Uh Oh.....I have gotten real low on my painted jig heads. I tied this one up on one that the head kind of dripped while curing..... I have 4 more like this, but they have a huge drip. I like this pattern too much to use up the material on drip heads :( I only made the one, but I have plans for some of those RonDon heads I have waiting at home!!!

The Chenille is Sunshine. Color is similar to the Tutti Frutti, but a little more subtle....gonna be another favorite for sure!!

The drip won't deter the fish. That's a killer patter and paint job. Bright, like I like and tied perfectly.
You'll enjoy rd's heads.

Take an emory board/sandpaper and sand the nipple off - then heat the spot with a butane lighter, it should seal it right off. But truthfully for your own jigs I wouldn't worry about it - I still get some and I just tie em up and use em. The fish don't care.

That is a bright color pattern!

Ditto with the others that the fish don't care...... i have a few 'nip' heads and honestly think they look pretty good. Almost the minnow head shape. If we perfect that 'minnow powder drip head' we might put Ronny out of bizness. :P Well, maybe not.

I have a few others that are true 'DRIP' heads that the drip either made it to the catch pan or almost did..... i set those aside. :P Since then i made an all thread rod holder that keeps the heads upright and the drips run down the shank now. ScottV has a post somewhere on here about how he made his. It is the solution but time consuming to load it up before curing.

Thanks for the idea on how to put a fix to the nips Fatman - will give it a try.

That's funny, but I'm the same way with drips like that.I go all out and file them down to bare lead and use a model brush to tap a little color on the bad spot and recure it,lol.

Sometimes I think that little paint nipple makes the jig look better to the fish!! Gives the jig a different action than a regular ballhead
