I was asked to make some craws for a friend so I got all the info on what he wanted and they are completely different, a half dozen of each so I took a pic to show you just how different. The both jigs are 1/8oz round head with 60 degree flat eye hook. The top jig is watermelon red flake and has a olive craft fur mustache with green flash, barred green and blue rabbit strips for the claws, and the body is olive cactus chenille and furnace hackle tied wooly bugger style. The bottom jig is copperhead with barred orange and yellow rabbit strips for the claws and black tipped orange cross cut rabbit strips for the body and tied with fl. orange Danville 210 thread. The hackle craw will be used in the clear water while the orange is going to be a murky water bait, he wanted it because he isn't sure how clear the water is going to be with the rain we are getting before his outting so he wanted to make sure he had something that would be bright and that orange one is bright. The hackle craw he wasn't sold on until we tested it in the tank, I hopped it one time and he said I want 6 just like that...lol. Hackle on a bottom hopping jig looks good and if it wasn't for this site I never would have used any of it.
