These are both 1/8oz ball head jigs, the top one is painted chartreuse and it tied with chartreuse grizzly hackle for claws, some chartreuse craft fur for the mustache and some spey hackle for feelers. I then palmered a chartreuse and white with black bars rabbit zonker to finish it off. The bottom jig is my "Hairy Craw" and is an experiment. I started with a black jighead and tied in black and whie grizzly hackle for the claws and some black bucktail for the mustache. The feelers were spey hackle again but this is where I changed it up. I tied in some dark olive antron chenille and a black hackle feather, I palmed the chenille forward and stopped short of the head and then followed it with the hackle. Once I tied the hackle off I tied in a soft grizzly hacle in at the head, a tan color to give it multiple natural colors, sort of how the craws here get, I palmered that for 3 turns and tied off leaving a small amount of the red thread exposed, I was going to whip finish with some hares ear dubbing but I thought the exposed red may be good and I liked it so I finished it with that.

You're noy kidding TF!!! I've been pouring lead and building jigs and spinnerbaits for bass for over 15 years, and I've been tying bucktails and rabbit jigs for a solid 10 years but using all this different material like craft fur, feathers, chenille and the like, it is crazy how you find yourself thinking of countless ways of putting them together. To say I'm hooked on this hobby would be an understatement, this is really fun and the only thing that makes it better is having everyone here to share it with, yep, it is in my blood now!!!
