Well, we made a 3-hour trip to one of our favorite hardwater spots yesterday. Left at 2:00am, got there about 5:00. Fished the marina slips for a little while and put one in the bucket..... then we decided to head out to the river fork and get after the sunrise bite. We picked up a few, but not nearly in the numbers we traditionally have caught. All our flashers went DEAD about 11:00am. Waited on the evening bite..... nothing. All in all, a very fun day, but not so hot with the body count!

HOWEVER... the fish we caught were tanks! The fish in the front row in the picture all hit the 13" mark.... a couple pushed 14".

Look's like they are stuffed so maybe they were eating to well and weren't hungry. Might explain the slow bite, some fatties though.

Nice - those are some pigs! Is the one on the far right a white bass?

Glad you found some ice.... not sure about your forecast, but there is 50 degrees and rain heading my way. :( What ice we have is going to disappear quickly.

Thanks guys.... seeing those big slabs coming up through that hole really gets a guy fired up.

Ragged, these fish were mostly pulled off the bottom. Came up and thumped it pretty good!

Russ, we are getting the same thing. It only got down to 32* last night.... the ice will be bad. If it warms up enough, we will just take the boat out and go somewhere else! :) And yes that is a white bass on the end.
