Well, I was out over the brushpile here the other night and this guy thumped my jig. I was impressed how deep-bodied it was!

Nice fish - looks as tall as it does long for sure! I haven't been able to find any bigger gills since about mid-summer. If there was one, got to be more. 
Thought you were pulling a fast one there for a sec cause it almost looks like the fish is on a board down by your foot! Then i saw the tape measure and realized it is on the railing of the dock.

Ha! Yeah, dock railing about hip high. I caught enough saturday night for a meal, but turned 'em all loose. They will still be there in a month or two, along with a bunch more of their friends! Then I'll have to invite them over for dinner.
