Wow, Squidgy still around - I received a sample soft plastic about 10 years ago.

Judging by the pic of the 1/32 head, the long tapered needle sharp point and minimal barb looks characteristic of Gamakatsu, so I would guess Squidgy made a smart move ordering a custom run of their perfect for Oz hook design.

If you can construct a model of a custom jig head design, Ron at High Tech can make an exact copy mold to pour your own for possibly under $100 USD. Perhaps one of your mates can pour the heads for you.

Hey Hawn they've expanded their selection. Some very good heads. They have a killer resin jighead for super shallow or still water.

It's really hard to find someone to cut molds anymore. Robert at Crazy Angler just got flat overworked when he was doing it. There's a place that makes silicone molds for pouring lead lures, when I find it I'll post it up.

Great-looking jigs Bombora.

I tie something similar for freshwater bass in the Midwestern US. My "googly" eyes get glued to the sides of the jig head and then covered with epoxy.

Surfed their site - looks like Squidgy is keeping current with their wire bait holder and improved hooks jig heads. Unless they've got deep pockets, don't think they would custom so many styles & sizes with Gamakatsu so I guess they've gone Chinese factory direct. Very progressive, tho I'm not impressed with Chinese quality control.

Are the resin heads more expensive than lead?

LedHed managed to score a custom mini-football jig mold which might function similar to your bug eye design.

Hiya Pup, yep I've seen your jigs on the site, they are bloody great and always have their own signature qualities. Creative jigmaking.
Hawn I can't remember price, I'll check. I've tied with a few no4 hook resin heads, with lead wire wrapped around shank, then marabou tails. About two inches long. You get the slowest fall!! Their hooks are actually pretty good, but their leadhead molding can be a bit, ah, varied.
I'd put up a pic of the resin head minnow. but don't wanna swamp ya! Got a lot of jigs and never really had a place to show em.
