Bucktail Craw

Wind'n down this evening and thought I would tie up a craw pattern with bucktail and hackle, hope the smallmouth like Mr. Craw Daddy.

Nice looking craws I like the colors. I've had trouble keeping the vee look do you tie it on the sides or slide something between them to get the spread?

I tie them on the side of the hook shank and I criss-cross the thread between the inside of the quill and hook shank pulling slight pressure each time until I get the look I want then I whip finish and the thread gets a drop or two of superglue.

Nice pattern indeed! Well done yet not too complicated. Looks like something that I could tie too :) Are those two pairs of hackle or a two-toned one? very nice color. :icon14:

That would be 3 hackle feathers for the trailer/claws. I tied the orange between 2 olive feathers. Hard to see that bottom feather in the pic but it's there. I also tied in 2 hackles (orange- olive) between the bucktail and head.
