Really like the colors on this one - i have some cactus chenille that looks very similar that was purchased from BPS. Nice tie, would be a smallie slayer in my river.
If you want to hide the thread neck on the cactus, make an extra wrap (or 2) with the chenille right at the head.... lock it down with only 2 thread wraps.... trim it then whip finish. When you whip finish, it also helps if the thread is laying up against the head (and pulled out towards the front of the head) as you spin the thread to make your knots. It all sinks in behind the cactus fibers then.
